Ohio's Amish Country is a great place to visit for the whole family. We serve Holmes, Wayne, Stark, Mohican, and Tuscarawas Counties, and surrounding areas which are home to the world's largest concentration of Amish & Mennonites.
Move into the slow lane and enjoy good food, woodworking second to none (most furniture in this area is handcrafted by local craftsmen), gift and craft shops (with many items made by local crafts people), beautiful lodging accommodations, attractions, furniture stores, wineries, cheese shops, quilt shops, and much more, most are made locally!! You can find them on our Ohio Amish Country Map.
Take a step back in time! The Amish believe in a simpler way of life. They can trace their heritage back hundreds of years to Europe, and yet, despite all the time that has passed and the many changes that have taken place in the United States, they still live and work much as their forefathers did. Their families and their farms are top priorities, second only to God. The Old Order Amish use mostly horses for farming and transportation, dress in plain clothes, and forbid electricity or telephones in the home. Most Mennonites though very conservative with deep beliefs in God, use electricity, telephones and drive cars.
We hope to see you soon, please tell our advertisers you saw them on the Ohio Amish Country Map!
