You will step back in time! The Amish believe in a simpler way of life. These people can trace their heritage back hundreds of years to Europe, and yet, despite all the time that has passed and the many changes that have taken place in the United States, they still live and work much as their forefathers did. Their families and their farms are their top priorities, second only to God. The Old Order Amish use horses for farming and transportation, dress in plain clothes, and forbid electricity or telephones in the home. Most Mennonites though very conservative with deep beliefs in God, use electricity, telephones and drive cars.
